Shikor Literary Forum and Publishers, founded and edited by poet and writer Faruk Ahmed Roni, was born from a dream to build a bridge between continents, languages, and hearts. Since its inception in 1998 in the United Kingdom, Shikor has been both a print and online Bangla literary magazine, the first of its kind from the UK- symbolising the deep-rooted connection of culture and creativity.

Over the years, Shikor has evolved beyond a publication to become a global meeting place for poets, writers, essayists, and dreamers. Each issue has carried the belief that language can heal, unite, and inspire. Now celebrating its 25th anniversary and stepping into its 27th year of publication, Shikor remains true to its name, the root that never forgets its soil.

In 2018, Shikor expanded into the English-speaking world through Global Poet and Poetry, creating a vibrant international platform that unites voices from across continents.

Today, Shikor Global Publishers stands proudly in Bangladesh and the UK, marking a new milestone with the inauguration of the Kolkata Chapter of Shikor Global Literary Forum and Publishers at KIFALC, P534 Raja Basanta Roy Road, Ballygunge, Kolkata.
