GRANGEVILLE — With a mission to promote health and wellness within the community through various educational events, programs, and presentations, Partners Inspiring Community Health (PICH) are to again offer Extreme Adventure Club.
PICH will offer a variety of lifetime activity events to youth ages 8-14. All are free of charge with the exception of golf camp and triathlon entry.

“The goal of the Extreme Adventure Club is to promote activities that are fun and geared toward getting children away from their normal inactive routines, to inspire them to be involved in new activities that can be learned, enjoyed, and potentially experienced throughout life,” coordinator Kirstin Jensen, U of I Grangeville Extension, stated.
The events for 2024 include the following:
∙Feb. 24 – Tubing and Campfire Building, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Drop-off/pick-up is at Snowhaven Ski and Tubing Hill. Bring a sack lunch; water and S’mores provided.
∙March 16 – Bowling and Rock Painting, noon to 2 p.m. Bring your favorite rock, six inches or less. Drop-off is at Camas Lanes and pickup is at The Trails Restaurant. Water, snacks and paint provided.
∙April 13 – First Responders Day, noon to 1:30 p.m. Drop-off/pickup at Soltman Center. Get tours of the ambulance, sheriff’s vehicles, and fire trucks and learn what our local first responders do. Water and snacks provider.
∙May 10 – Smokejumpers Day at the Base, 2 to 4 p.m. Drop-off/pickup at Grangeville Country Club. Learn about GAC Smokejumpers and get a tour of their base and aircraft. Water and snacks provided.
∙June 22 – 208 Kids Triathlon, 8 to 11 a.m. at Pioneer Park, ages 4-13. Registration cost and details TBD.
∙June 22 – Survival Guide Day, 1 to 2:30 p.m. Drop-off/pickup at the Grangeville Archery Range. Learn wilderness survival skills from Idaho Fish and Game Officers. Bring a small backpack and sturdy hiking shoes. Water and snacks provided.
∙July 8-12 – Junior Golf Camp, 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the Grangeville Golf and Country Club. Cost is $50 for all five days.
PICH created the Extreme Adventure Club in 2015.
