From Multi-Gen to Group Getaways

Group travel is surging as families, friends, and colleagues seek shared experiences, flexible spaces, and destinations that bring every generation under one roof. According to Skift Research, nearly half of U.S. travelers plan to take a family trip this year, while global brands are reporting an acceleration in demand for multi-generational experiences, particularly in the luxury segment.
Evermore Orlando Resort, developed by Dart Interests, sits at the forefront of this evolution. Purpose-built for togetherness, it blends the privacy of a vacation home with the polish of a luxury hotel — a model the company calls residential hospitality.
Leading this next phase is Elizabeth Mullins, who joined as president of Evermore Hospitality in September 2025. A seasoned hospitality executive, Mullins previously held leadership roles with Flâneur Hospitality and The Walt Disney Company. SkiftX spoke with Mullins to explore how Evermore is redefining the art of staying together through connection, wellness, and the rise of the “alphabooker.”

SkiftX: What excites you most about leading Evermore into its next chapter?
Elizabeth Mullins: I’m delighted to join the exceptional team at Evermore Orlando Resort, a first-of-its-kind luxury destination redefining how families and groups travel together. I’m inspired to collaborate with such visionary leaders who are setting a new benchmark for modern hospitality.
Speaking at Skift Global Forum this past September, Dart Interests President Chris Kelsey introduced a concept Evermore calls “residential hospitality.” How has it become a defining part of Evermore’s identity, and how is that concept resonating with today’s travelers?
Travel should bring people closer — seamlessly and without compromise. That principle inspired what we call residential hospitality, which blends the space and comfort of a private home with the personalized service and reliability of a luxury hotel. By removing the friction and uncertainty that often accompany group getaways, residential hospitality enables guests to focus on what truly matters: sharing meaningful and memorable moments together.
What shifts are you seeing in group travel demand, and how is Evermore positioned to meet them?
As digital life accelerates, the craving for authentic, real-world connection continues to grow. These shared moments are essential to our happiness and well-being. At Evermore, we believe luxury travel should make togetherness effortless. Guided by a philosophy we call relational wellness, we’re reimagining what it means to stay together, designing spaces and experiences that strengthen connection in every sense.
Multigenerational travel continues to grow. What patterns or guest behaviors are you noticing right now?
Baby boomers are healthier and wealthier than ever, while Gen Z and millennials increasingly value shared experiences over material goods. Together, they’re driving one of the fastest-growing segments in travel: multi-generational vacations that unite children, parents, grandparents, and beyond. In fact, 47% of travelers are opting for multi-generational or family trips in 2025, a 17% increase over 2024.
Families are consolidating what would have been multiple smaller trips into one high-spend getaway. The economic ripple effect includes longer stays, higher average daily spend, and new demand for properties that can handle every age bracket under one roof.
We’re seeing parties of 11 or more increase in both reservation count and length of stay, specifically for Evermore Residences. By focusing on connection, wellness, and flexibility, Evermore is setting the standard for the future of multi-generational travel.
Why do you think a destination resort like Evermore is such a natural fit for today’s group travel trends?
Multigenerational travel is now one of the fastest-growing segments in the travel industry. Driven by a desire for quality time, legacy-building, and wellness, families are seeking destinations that offer flexible accommodations, diverse activities, and meaningful experiences for all ages. Evermore Orlando Resort stands at the forefront of this trend, delivering on every key need of the modern multigenerational traveler.
As Orlando’s first and only beach destination, it combines proximity to the parks with vacation homes of up to 11 bedrooms, along with amenities such as kayaking, spa, golf, and karaoke. There’s space and fun for every age.
The “alphabooker” — the person organizing travel for family or friends — plays a key role in Evermore’s model. How do you design with that guest in mind?
In every family or friend group, there’s a planner-in-chief — the one who does the heavy lifting. They’re the researcher, the deal-finder, the organizer, and the person who makes the entire trip possible. At Evermore, we refer to them as the “alphabooker,” and increasingly, the industry is recognizing that if we make their job easier, everyone in the group benefits.
We want to make the “alphabooker” the hero of the vacation by giving them confidence in picking the destination, making all the arrangements, and knowing everyone is going to love it.
What unmet needs are you seeing from “alphabookers” that traditional hotels or vacation rentals often overlook?
A lot of “alphabooker” work — especially experiences, bespoke itineraries, surprise elements, group coordination — is still under-measured in existing data sets, so many relevant metrics are either buried in “concierge or high-end travel services” or not isolated at all. It’s an untapped market that Evermore is capitalizing on.
Evermore offers a compelling alternative to the often unreliable mix of vacation homes found on today’s booking platforms. From private pools at every home to our serene eight-acre Evermore Bay, two Jack Nicklaus-designed golf courses, and seamless digital services, we are reimagining what it means to stay — and play — together.
Additionally, dining is one of the most challenging elements to plan, as it must cater to a diverse group of different needs and preferences. Whether your vibe is a rooftop fireworks cocktail, an upscale food hall, or a chef-prepared meal for the whole group, Evermore makes it seamless for the guest.
The Conrad Orlando’s meeting and event spaces are an integral part of the resort. Combined with the Evermore Residences, how is the Resort meeting the needs of groups today?
Evermore Orlando is holistically designed for traveling together, offering options that range from girlfriend getaways and family reunions to weddings and corporate events. Between the large houses, a stunning over-the-water event space, unique outdoor venues, and more than 65,000 square feet of modern, flexible meetings and event space at Conrad Orlando, we can meet the needs of virtually any group looking to travel together.
The venues themselves are just one piece of the puzzle, though. Our location in Central Florida, adjacent to Walt Disney World, and our team of dedicated professionals, who are true experts in delivering exceptional group experiences, make Evermore Orlando Resort an unparalleled experience.
Looking ahead to 2026, how do you see traveler expectations evolving, and how is Evermore preparing for what’s next?
We’re pioneering a new era of hospitality, one that puts togetherness at the heart of travel. Our mission is to deliver this philosophy in every facet of the Evermore experience, creating a destination where connection becomes the ultimate luxury. With proven success, we intend to expand our residential hospitality model to new locations in the future, while continuing to meet the ever-changing needs of today’s discerning travelers.
